Weather & Season
What happens in bad weather?
Then your flight will be cancelled free of charge and no costs to you. You either book a new appointment or your original appointment is permanently cancelled.
In the event of unsafe flight conditions (strong wind, storm, foehn, rain, heavy snowfall, poor visibility, etc.) the pilot reserves the right to cancel the flight. This also applies at short notice in the event of sudden changes in weather conditions. This will incur no costs.
In what weather can I fly?
We fly all year round when the conditions are right. The sun doesn't have to be shining, and overcast skies are no problem either. Clouds in the morning are often particularly beautiful.
The easiest way is to book your Desired date at the beginning of your holiday, then we have time to reschedule if necessary.
If the weather is not suitable for flying, we will contact you. If we do not contact you, your flight will go ahead as booked.
Can you fly all year round?
Yes! We fly the all year (assuming good flight conditions and open cable car).
The landscape is particularly beautiful in winter. In summer, tandem paragliding is very popular.
Who is allowed to fly?
Do I need any previous knowledge for tandem paragliding?
No! There are no previous knowledge necessary.
Your qualified pilot will give you detailed instructions and is very concerned about your safety.
Is there an age restriction?
Our flights are suitable for all persons between 4 to 99 years.
However, the passenger must be physically fit enough to be able to walk a few steps before take-off.
What is the maximum weight for paragliding?
The maximum weight of the passenger is 120kg.
It also depends on whether you can walk a few meters during takeoff and the harness is secure.
Can several people fly at the same time?
Yes! Normally, per appointment and day several independent pilots simultaneously availableYou can see exactly how many in our booking calendar.
Danger: only 1 passenger flies with 1 pilot!
Time & Duration
How long in advance should I book?
Depending on the season and availability, we recommend booking a few days to weeks before your desired date. If you have already booked your holiday, then book your tandem flight date at the same time, preferably at the beginning of the holiday, then we have time to postpone in case of bad weather.
In high season we are often fully booked days in advance, of course there are always gaps in the Booking calendar.
How long does a tandem flight last?
The flight time depends on selected flight between 15 and 60 minutes.
Please allow 1.5 hours for the entire experience.
How long are you in the air when paragliding?
The flight time depends on selected flight between 15 and 60 minutes.
How long does the whole experience take, including flight and transport?
For the entire experience we need 1.5 hoursThis includes our shuttle transport, the gondola ride, preparations on the mountain and the flight.
Meeting point & spectators
Where is the meeting point?
We meet in front of the ticket office at the Schmittenhöhebahn valley station. Please enter the address into your sat nav, there are numerous cable cars in Zell am See. We arrive there with the white or black Falken Air Shuttle Bus. We are often not reachable by phone before the flight, please just wait +/- 10 minutes.

Here you still have time to buy a cable car ticket with us if you need it (if you have the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card, the ride is even free). Then we will go up together in the gondola (cable car ticket is not included in the flight price).
Can you also meet the pilot on the mountain?
We recommend that you meet us at the regular meeting point. Meeting points on the mountain often lead to confusion.
Where can the family watch?
We recommend viewers at the landing site Here you can see the most of the entire flight.
Watching at the starting point is not much use, each person would have to buy a ride up and down the mountain and we are usually no longer visible a few minutes after the start.
There isn't enough time to see the takeoff and landing.
Costs for cable car, flight, photos
How much does the cable car ride cost?
In Zell am See (Schmittenhöhe) a mountain ride costs approx. €25,50 per person.
If you do not have a valid ski pass, a Zell am See-Kaprun summer card or similar discount cards, you will have to buy a mountain ride.
The costs of the ascent are not included in the flight price.
Is the cable car ride included in the price?
No! The cost of the cable car ride is not included.
You can buy the ticket together with us at the valley station.
If you have a valid ski pass or a Zell am See-Kaprun summer card or another discount card, your cable car ride is discounted or even free.
Why don't we include the cable car ride? Because the lift prices change regularly, many guests have a Zell am See-Kaprun summer card and other discount cards or already have season/weekly tickets.
How much does a tandem flight cost?
We have different flights with different prices.

Sometimes there are offers that you only see in the booking calendar.
How much does photo and video cost?
During each flight, approximately 40 pictures and a video of your experience are taken. We use the best Action cams from GoPro.
If you like, we will play the pictures and the video after the flight directly to your mobile and you can share or edit them with friends right away!

How can I pay for the tandem flight?
Clothing, Equipment & Photos
What clothes do you need?
- Solid shoes
- Jacket (in winter ski clothing & gloves)
- Sunglasses (not mandatory)
Dress appropriately for the weather conditions and the season. Wear good shoes with a sturdy sole (hiking boots or sneakers). In winter we dress like we would for skiing. We will provide you with a helmet. In summer a jacket will protect you from the wind and cold, especially on longer thermal flights. We recommend sunglasses all year round.
Backpacks can remain in the shuttle bus during the flight; there is no room for them on a tandem flight.
What do you need to take with you for tandem paragliding?

Please bring a cell phone with you so that you can be reached in case of weather changes or rescheduling. You will also need your wallet to buy a lift ticket and pay for the flight and photo/video package. You can pay for the flight in CASH or with a paragliding voucher.
Backpacks can remain in the shuttle bus during the flight; there is no room for them on a tandem flight.
Can I use my own action camera and cell phone during the flight?
For safety and liability reasons, your own action cameras and mobile phones are not allowed during the flight. not used Your cell phone will be stored in the harness during the flight.
We recommend that you enjoy the flight and let your professional pilot take care of the flying and photography.
Where can I buy the photos & videos from the flight?
During the flight, your pilot will take around 40 photos and one video in HD quality with the latest action cameras from GoPro. You can purchase the photo/video package after the landing for €30, use it straight away and share it with friends. The data will be transferred directly to your phone.

Safety & fear of heights
Am I insured during my tandem flight?
By filling out the flight ticket you are during the tandem flight insured.
I'm afraid of heights, can I still fly tandem?
99% of the people who report fear of heights before the flight, feel any fear at all during the flight no fear of heights. On the contrary, many are quite surprised at how how comfortable they feel.
This may be due to the sitting position during the flight and the view forward, not downward.
I'm so nervous, I don't know if I dare to do this?
A little nervousness before take-off/the flight is completely normal and even good, because it increases your concentration.
99.91% of our guests are completely thrilled after the flight, how easy it was for them and how great the experience was!
I have physical or mental limitations, can I still fly?
This must individually with us clarified and discussed.
We also regularly fly with wheelchair users. Special take-off conditions apply here.
What is the difference between paragliding and hang gliding?
Paragliding or paragliding are synonymous with the English term paragliding. It refers to flying with a paraglider or paraglider.
During tandem flying or tandem paragliding, you fly with a professional, certified pilot from the top of the mountain to the valley.
