Paragliding at the Kaprun reservoirs
Tandem paragliding over the Kaprun reservoirs in the Zell am See-Kaprun region is a highlight - that's for sure. The two reservoirs named Mooserboden and Wasserfallboden look like fjords. You could think you were in Norway. Sepp, your pilot, likes to fly over the two reservoirs, because it's only from above that you can really see how impressive the reservoirs are.
From the Schmittenhöhe to the reservoirs
We always start on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See. It is the ideal starting point for the tandem flight to the Kaprun reservoirs. An important prerequisite is of course the thermals on the day of the flight. We need strong updrafts for paragliding over the reservoirs. Not every day is suitable for a thermal flight. The best time is between April and August.
The impressive dam from above
You see the dam from a bird's eye view! Only a few adventurers get to see this view. Most holidaymakers hike to the reservoirs, but you can fly with us directly over the sight. The dam is 107 meters high and 500 meters long. You can even climb on the dam.
Experience the world of electricity and ice
The dam can also be viewed from the inside. If you still feel like it after paragliding, we recommend visiting the Electricity & Ice Adventure World. It is located at Mooserboden and provides information about the functions of the hydroelectric power station.
By bus and inclined elevator to the reservoirs
If you want to visit the reservoirs, you can park for free at the Kesselfall car park in Kaprun. There you can buy tickets for the ascent. You then go up by bus and the inclined elevator. There is also the option of seeing the attraction from above on a motorized flight. In the video we show you the great view.
